• At the West highland Inn, we genuinely love dogs and very much enjoy having well behaved pets stay with us. The great majority of dogs cause no problem at all.
• However, in consideration of all our guests and in light of some of our experiences, we need to explicitly state our dog policy.
• Dogs are allowed in rooms 9, 10, 11, 14 and 15 . These rooms open onto the back and have refrigerators in the rooms.
• A fee of $25 is charged for a stay.
• It is expected that dog owners and their pets will respect the feelings of other guests. Dogs are not allowed in the main house, on the sun porch or on the private house property behind the Inn.
• Dogs are not allowed on the beds, so please provide appropriate bedding for your dog.
• Daily housekeeping is done only if your dog is crated or out of the room.
• By Ogunquit town policy, dogs must be leashed at all times and are not allowed on the beach or Marginal Way between April 1^st and October 1^st. (Note: Dogs are allowed on some local beaches at specified times throughout the summer. Talk to us about the details.)
• Owners are responsible for picking up after their dogs.
• Any damage to the room or Inn will be at the owner's expense.

Over the years, we have found that people bring their dogs to the Inn have added to their enjoyment, to that of other guests, and to us. By following these rules we hope to continue to add to everyone's West Highland Inn experience.
